KARI SARDIN




My husband asked me to cook kari sardin. I was curious what type of food it is? I never cooked kari sardin before and I never ate such food in the past. He said that i just need to add curry powder in the food so it will give me curry flavour. And I tried. Because this is my first trial, i can say that it fits my tastebuds.

The taste was good and it can be one of our alternative especially when you feel lazy to cook complicated curry- you don't need to thaw fish from freezer, don't need to blend the onion, garlic etc -and save much time. Furthermore, you don't need to add coconut milk to this recipe and it can be classified as one of the healthy menu in your diet. Suitable to be accompanied with lempeng, bread or rice.

Bahan-bahan
1 tin sardin (saiz besar)
1 biji bawang besar (dihiris kasar)
3 biji bawang putih (dihiris kasar)
1 sudu makan (rempah kari ikan- di campur dengan sedikit air)
1/2 ibujari halia (dihiris kasar)
1 biji tomato (potong 4)
1/2 biji cili benggala (di hiris kasar)- optional
1 cawan air
Sedikit sos tomato (adjust ikut citarasa masing-masing, nak banyak atau sikit)
Sedikit minyak untuk menumis
gula, garam dan perasa (jika suka)

Cara-cara
1. Tumis bawang putih, bawang merah dan juga halia hingga naik bau. Masukkan paste kari dan tumis lagi hingga naik minyal
2. Masukkan sardin (beserta dengan sos tomato dalam tin sardin tu sekali). Masukkan 1 cawan air
3. Perasakan ia. Masukkan sedikit sos tomato jika perlu.
4. Akhir sekali masukkan tomato dan cili benggala. Terus dihidang.
